| Abstract | 前日電照が朝顔の開花に及ぼす影響を知る一つの方法として,1962年の夏に次のような実験を行なった.光源からの距離は0.4～3mとし,電灯は60Wの白熱灯,10W及び20Wの螢光灯を使用した.実験は室内で行ない,照明時刻は何れの場合も終夜照明とした.以下にその概要を述べてみよう.(1)60Wの白熱灯を0.5～3mの距離においた場合は,完全開花したものは一つもなく,半開及び不開花の花も光源からの距離が遠くなるに伴って減少した.(2)朝顔の開花に対する螢光灯の影響も白熱灯を用いたのとほとんど同じであるが,同じルックスの電灯で照射した場合は白熱灯の開花抑制力が螢光灯よりもはるかに大であった.(3)螢光灯20Wと10Wとをくらべると,20Wのほうが10Wより開花抑制力は大きいが,同じルックスにした場合は両者の間にほとんど差異は見られなかった.(4)同一の朝顔個体に2～3日連続して電照を行なった場合は,毎日ちがった個体を使用した場合にくらべ,開花能力を抑える傾向があるようである。
