| 抄録 | 本研究では，就学前後の子をもつ養育者が，子育てで感じている喜びや不安，必要としている支援について検討し，子育て支援のあり方について考察した。子ども園に通う3から5歳児の保護者と小学1，2年生児の保護者に子育てに関する自記式調査を行い，回答を得られた166名の記述内容について検討した。質的分析から，子ども園児・小学校児童の保護者とも，子どもの成長や姿，一緒に行動することに喜びを感じていた。一方，子ども園や学校での適応や保護者自身の子どもへの対応に不安を感じていた。このような状況から養育者への支援として，就学前教育と小学校教育の連携の強化，保護者同士の交流の場や機会の提供，相談体制の整備，子育てに関する講演会や心理教育の提供，子育て支援に関する満足度の定期的見立てが重要であると考えられた。以上より，子育て支援には，心理的支援を含めた多面的な支援が重要であることが示唆された。 |

| 抄録 | 本研究の目的は，学校運動部活動指導における指導者の心理的負担感と対処について検討することである。対象は，自己記入式質問票に回答した学校運動部活動指導者96人。質的検討を行った結果，指導者は，生徒の態度，保護者からのクレーム，指導者自身の指導力不足，同僚の非協力的態度等を心理的負担に感じていた。生徒や保護者とコミュニケーションを図り信頼関係を構築すること，自己研鑽すること，信頼できる関係者に相談すること等が，対処方略になっていた。心理的負担感を乗り越えた程度と心理社会的要因の関連を検討したところ，心理的負担感を乗り越えたと認識している程度が5割以下の群は，6割以上の群に比べて，有意に抑うつ気分や不安感が高く，健康感や対人関係自己効力感が低かった。以上より，学校運動部活動指導に携わる教員等指導者の心理的負担感を見立て，心理的負担感に対処するこころの健康対策が重要だと考えられた。 |

| 抄録 | This paper discusses the diversifying lives of Zainichi Koreans in order to understand their identities in transition. Along with the improved legal and social status of Zainichi Koreans and subsequently their living conditions, a large number of Zainichi Koreans have been leaving ethnic institutions, and in some cases, the Zainichi community. The ethnic relations surrounding Zainichi Koreans also partly reflect the diplomatic relations between Japan and the two Koreas. The difference in the images of the two Koreas is a significant factor in their ethnic identities. This paper also examines how Zainichi Korean civil rights movements after the 1970s have encouraged many Zainichi Koreans to assert and maintain their ethnic pride. |

| 抄録 | This article describes the history of civic engagement at Nishigawa Canal Park in Okayama city, Japan. Nishigawa Canal Park was constructed in downtown Okayama from 1974 to 1982, and its total length is 2.4 km. Since 2008, citizens have held events in the park totaling over 70 days per year, with the support of the city’s Nishigawa Performers Project. By analyzing their machizukuri—community development through collaborative actions—we demonstrate the importance of public space in urban development from two points of view: participatory democracy and an eco-livable city. Okayama has rich experiences that show its citizens value a sustainable society. It also faces challenges in urban development carried out through collaboration between public policy makers, political leaders, and citizens. |

| 抄録 | 本研究は，アメリカ合衆国ミズーリ州の小学校における自閉スペクトラム症（以下，ASD）児に対する社会的コミュニケーション指導実践の現地調査を行った。現地の教育実践から，VB-MAPP，及びピアサポートをどのように活用しながら社会的コミュニケーション指導を展開しているのかを調査し，それらを効果的に活用する上でどのような点を考慮すべきかを導き出すことを目的とした。結果，VB-MAPPの活用では，児童の実態把握と指導目標の決定，既学習挿入手続きとプロンプト方略を活用した個別指導の展開，個別指導で学習した知識・技能を他の環境下（例：遊び場面）で指導する又は使用させる工夫，の３点が導出された。ピアサポートの活用では，ASD児の興味関心を活かした関わり，ピアの受容的態度や共同的働きかけ，ピアとASD児をつなぐ教員のファシリテーション，の３点が見出された。最後に，VB-MAPPは学習目標の共有化と学習内容の組織化を促す１つの方法であり，学びの連続性を志向するためのツールとして，ピアサポートはインクルージョンを実現する１つの方法であり，障害のある子も，障害のない子も共に学ぶための方法として，今後の展開が期待されることを考察した。 |

| 抄録 | We investigated the genetic mechanisms underlying the association between human leukocyte antigen (HLA) types and the immune response to hepatitis B virus (HBV) vaccination in 84 healthy Japanese adults, and found that the HLA-DRB1＊04 and HLA-DQB1＊03 frequencies were higher in the low responders (<10 mIU/ml; n=9, 10.7%) compared to the responders (≥10 mIU/ml, n=75, 89.3%). The combination of DRB1＊04 and DQB1＊03 was associated with a low response to vaccination. The DRB1＊04 and DQB1＊03 haplotypes’ frequencies were significantly higher in the low responders compared to responders. Novel candidate HLA types may be important in Japanese individuals. |

| 抄録 | This paper discusses the complexity and the transition of the legal and social status of ethnic Koreans (Zainichi Koreans) after the Second World War. It outlines how the legal status of Zainichi Koreans without Japanese nationality remained precarious for four decades after the war. After numerous reforms in Japanese nationality law over the years, in 1991 finally the status of all the Zainichi Koreans with South Korean/Chōsen nationality was categorised into ‘special permanent residents.’ This paper also looks at two main ethnic organisations: pro-North Korea Chongryun and pro-South Korea Mindan. It examines how some Zainichi Koreans were split according to the organisations in which they participated, which led to the division of Korean communities in Japan. |

| 抄録 | Public education programs about chronic kidney disease (CKD) have been performed in Okayama, Japan for the past 10 years. The present study investigated the perception of CKD in a general population in Okayama. In October and November 2015, a questionnaire survey was distributed by 12 medical centers in five medical districts in Okayama prefecture. A total of 7,022 respondents who underwent their physical checkup at these centers answered the questionnaire. In response to a questionnaire item asking about the respondent's familiarity with the term "CKD," only 4% of the respondents answered "know it well" and 10% answered "unfamiliar." In contrast, in response to a questionnaire item asking about the respondent's familiarity with "chronic kidney disease," 27% answered "know it well" and 38% answered "unfamiliar." The leading avenue by which the respondents learned about CKD/chronic kidney disease was television, followed by newspapers, magazines, and a family doctor or nurse. The leading component which the respondents considered essential for the diagnosis of CKD/chronic kidney disease was proteinuria. A stratified analysis demonstrated a higher recognition of “CKD" or “chronic kidney disease" in the medical districts in northern Okayama prefecture compared to southern Okayama prefecture. These results indicated that the awareness of CKD in Okayama prefecture is still inadequate. Many people did not appear to realize that the term “CKD" represents "chronic kidney disease". Further continuous public education efforts are required to enlighten people about CKD/chronic kidney disease. |

| 抄録 | The purpose of this study was to establish a measurement scale for "stress recognition in receiving treatment" in patients with diabetes. A self-completed questionnaire was distributed to 149 type-2 diabetes outpatients in March-May 2015 after authorization from Okayama Prefectural University and the ethics committee of the hospital. The "stress recognition in receiving treatment" scale was designed as a second-order factor model consisting of 14 items and the following four factors : the respondent's sense of (1) the burden of being sick, (2) the burden on interpersonal relationships, (3) the burden of treatment, and (4) the burden of medical expenses. Stress recognition in treatment means recognition of being stressed in the burdens related to the illness, interpersonal relationships, treatment and medical expenses. The suitability of the questionnaire data was then evaluated with a structural equation model. The suitability of the factor model to the data satisfied the statistically acceptable standards as Comparative Fit Index (CFI) ＝0.931, Root Mean Square Error of Approximation (RMSEA) ＝0.096, Tucker-Lewis Index (TLI) ＝0.946. As the construct validity was not examined by the scale created in this study or by existing scale, it was verified by using the degrees of mental healthiness and HbA1c that were proved to be associated with the sense of burden. In addition, the construct validity of the questionnaire was supported by a significant correlation between the Japanese version of the WHO-Five Well-being Index (S-WHO-5-J) and the patients' HbA1c levels. The use of this measure is expected to contribute to the early detection of a decline in a diabetic patient's activities of daily living and to the early confirmation of patients' support status. |

| 抄録 | This article analyzes the importance of education when attempting regional revitalization by considering the case of the introduction of‘ an English Education District’ and a public cram school in a Japanese town. As Japan faces a depopulated society, it is important for local administrations to maintain their local population through public policy that supports economic activities and improves living conditions. Wake Town in Okayama Prefecture has already undertaken a variety of actions, supported by the human resources of the national government and private companies, to promote its livability. This article elucidates the reason behind Wake Town＇s strong commitment to its education policy, which has resulted in, for example, the creation of a public cram school. This article focuses on three points: （1） the background of the education policy in Wake Town, （2） the management of the newly established public cram school, and （3） the evaluation of this school in the view of its students and their parents. Finally, the article argues that free public education is becoming increasingly important for community development in the global era ofthe 21st century. |
