Abstract | Two efficient techniques for solving matrix equations for 2-D finite element analysis of eddy currents in electrical machinery connected to constant voltage sources are presented. In these analyses, in which the existing currents are treated as unknown variables, the coefficient matrix becomes unsymmetrical. By treating the components of grad φ as variables and introducing a symmetrization technique, the computer storage and the computing time can be considerably reduced |
