Abstract | The pathohistological changes of various organs, chiefly the blood vessel system, other than spleen, were observed on several liver diseases, manily epidemic hepatitis. And the results were as follows. 1. In acute hepatitis including violent hepatitis. the dilatation of inner space, distension and coarseness of vessel wall, serous exudation, collagen of hemorrhage and so-called melting picture of argentaffine fiber etc. caused by angioparalysis were highly observed on various organs of the whole body. 2. In chronic hepatitis and livercirrhosis, the above described changes gardually diminished and the sclerotic process of organs as the secondary restorable mechanism became remarkable, and the multiplication of connective tissue's component and fibrination picture became remarkable even though their degree was different in each organ of cases. 3. The above results agreed with the conventional opinion of our department, i.e. the genetic pathology of epidemic hepatitis was based on the functional and organic damage of blood vessels in the whole body, in the first meaning.
