| Abstract | 梅雨降水量の多い西日本の長崎を例に，20世紀の梅雨降水変動に関する探究的授業の開発を行った。本学習プランは，高校の『地学基礎』，『地学』，『地理』をも念頭に置いたものであるが，岡山大学教育学部の「生活科内容研究A」の1コマ分を使って研究授業を行い，その結果を分析した。気候学的に梅雨が明ける7月後半頃には『無降水日』も多いが，その時期にも主に梅雨前線活動に関連した『顕著な大雨日』がしばしば出現する。授業では，そのような点を探究的に見出すことを目標とし，7月後半頃の日々の大雨日及び無降水日の出現状況やそれらの梅雨最盛期との違い，7月後半頃の顕著な大雨日における気圧配置の特徴などを，6～7月の日々の降水量データ表などに基づき読み取る作業・考察を学習活動の中心に据えた。本稿では，取り扱った現象の特徴，授業の概要，分析結果などについて報告する。
