Abstract Alternative
In this paper, a ventricular gradient was studied in the frontal and horizontal planes, respectively, in the Einthoven's trigangle and the chest leads. An angle of the frontal plane, in 30 healthy young persons, varied from 97℃ to -7° and was 36℃ 48' in its mean. A magnitude of the plane varied from 74 μvsec to 17 μvsec and was 38.2 μvsec in its mean. An angle of the horizontal plane varied from 63° to-53° and was 16° 10' in its mean. A magnitude of the plane varied from 280 μvsec to 22 μvsec and was 86.3 μvsec in its mean. The ventricular gradient was observed in 66 normal elder persons with less than 150mmHg in the systolic pressure. It showed a shift to the left and posterior and a slight decrease. As the blood pressure augmented, the ventricular gradient also showed an increase, in the 26 patients. It seems that, though an augmentation of the ventricular gradient derives from an enlargement of AT at the initial elevation of the blood pressure, it may gradually be resulted from an enlargment of AQRS. The ventricular gradient was also studied in 25 patients with left ventricular hypertrophy and strain. An alteration of the ST and T was noted. It is conceivable that the change primarilly occurred from a marked deviation of the angle and the abnormal direction shifted.
