A Study on the Elementary Grammar Items of Introductory Korean Textbooks for University Students in Japan

Abstract
This research is a basic study to develop an integrated Korean language curriculum for universities in Japan, aimed at building social relationships. In order to propose an integrated learning model that combines activities for social relationships and language items as communication tools, I examined the grammar items in introductory Korean textbooks commonly used in Japanese university classes, comparing them with two standards for assessing achievement in Korean language proficiency and introductory Korean textbooks used in universities of Korea, America and China.
