| Abstract | 本論は，教員養成におけるジャーマン・インパクトという視座から，各国が19-20 世紀の国際関係のなかでどのように教員を養成したのかを比較発達史的に分析しようとする研究の一部をなす。ここでは19 世紀末イギリスにおけるヘルバルト学派の受容に迫るために『ヘルバルトの教育の科学および実践への入門』の読解を行った。それはヘルバルト教育学の特徴を，心理学，倫理学，そして実践的教育学の観点から分析し，さらに教授の前提である管理と訓育の役割について説明を加えるものであったが，ツィラーの二重理論については厳しい批判を展開していた。その結果，ヘルバルト教育学を高く評価している一方で，ドイツを中心とした初等教育におけるヘルバルト学派の展開については距離を保っていることが明らかになった。
