抄録	DGEM, a Digital Geological Elevation Model, was developed using the digital geological map and the JPGIS DEM data with some GIS application and the R-Language. In the model, the information of the geological map was combined with the DEM by their coordinates. The integration of those two digital map was performed by the R-Language, so the model can be used by some useful presentation library of the language, such as the RGL, or by some geographical calculation libraries. Moreover, the DGEM will be used by the spatial statistical libraries of the R-Language to investigate some geological spatial distributed specifications.

抄録	According to the standard version ofthe labour theory of value, labourvalue of a product is defined as the social average of the amounts of labour embodied in the homogeneous products on the supposition that the scale of the production is appropriate to the social demand for the products. In case of joint products, the amount of labour directly and indirectly necessary for their production needs to be divided among individual joint products before calculating the average. In the labour division, the composition of demands for heterogeneous joint products must be considered because it will be different from the composition of the products which is fundamentally determined by the technical relations of production. The labour division among joint products, therefore; is understandable through two logical phases. First, without any consideration for the gap between demand and production peculiar to joint products, the amount of labour necessary for production is divided equally among categories of homogeneous joint products. Second, the division of necessary labour is modified by the consideration for the gap. The labour divided into unsold products is divided again among other joint products sold in higher proportions to production because the former are the useless by-products of the latter. The amount of labour commanded by each joint product may be further deviated from the average of its embodied labour after the modification. Labour-values of joint products should include the part of deviations which reflects the reduction of the gap at the markets.

抄録	Dans quelques collectivités locales japonaises, on commence à projeter, ces dernières années, l'introduction du nouveau budget fonctionnel (Performance Budgeting), qui a développé après l'échec du budget de programme aux Etats-Unis, où il s'équipe des indicateurs de performance et intégre le plan, le budget, les enquête des demandes administratives et l'évaluation courante des politiques. On pourrait l'assimiler à la M 12, le cadre comptable des communes de plus de 10,000 habitants qui s'est introduit en 1964 et qui avait la nomenclature fonctionnelle et le calcul des coûts complets de la section de fonctionnement, et au développement récent du contrôle de gestion des collectivités locales françaises dans le cadre de la théorie française de la gestion publique. Par rapport au budget fonctionnel, la qualité des approches françaises est le fondement solide de l'analyse des coûts, et leurs défaut est non intégration de la planification, du marketing, de l'évaluation a posteriori, surtout celle des impactes (outcomes), dans le budget ou le calcul des couts. Par ailleurs, la théorie française nous propose toute une gamme de choix sur la répartion des coûts indirectes, le budget et la comptabilité parcentres de résponsabilités sans répartion, le direct-costing, les coûts complets et l'ABC / ABM. La possibilité de l'utilisation générale des tableaux de bord, qui sont très similaires aux indicateurs de performance anglo-saxons, est aussi ouverte pour la gestion intérieure d'une organisation. Cette théorie nous propose aussi la possibilité de la confection des deux budgets, budget de comptabilité financière et celui de comptabilité de gestion. Cette remarque nous aiderait de sortir des malentendus autour du budget fonctionnel japonais. Quel type de budget à choisir dépend de nos objectifs dans la réforme budgétaire. Ce qui compte, c'est de ne pas attendre ce qui ne peut pas être attendu dans chaque méthode.

抄録	In this paper we estimate the tenant benefits in public rental housing supplied by local government on the basis of the data for private housing as well as public housing. In the estimation we specify a Cobb-Douglas utility function defined by housing attributes and other goods, and present a new estimation form of Hicks equivalent variation taking into account implicit marginal prices of public housing. Our work recognizes that the unit cost of housing is different between private and public housings, which is not identified by previous studies. The proposed procedure in this paper requires the estimation of implicit marginal prices of public housing attributes and private housing attributes. We further analyze the relationship between benefits of public housing and subsidy for rent, defined as the difference between the market value of public housing and rent of public housing, and examine the distribution ofthe benefits by household characteristics. This study finds that the calculated benefits from the public housing were 10.0 percent of monthly income, and evidence that benefits are related to income. Our results provide the effectiveness of public rental housing for the lower income households.

Comparing the cochlear spiral modiolar artery in type-1 and type-2 diabetes mellitus:a human temporal bone study

抄録	This study examined whether pathological findings were present in cochlear vessels for patients with diabetes mellitus. Twenty-six temporal bones from 13 patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus and 40 temporal bones from 20 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were examined. Type 2 diabetic temporal bones were divided into 2 groups according to diabetic management (22 temporal bones with insulin therapy, and 18 with oral hypoglycemic drugs). Age-matched normal control temporal bones were also selected. The vessel wall thickness in the cochlear spiral modiolar artery was measured under a light microscope, and the vessel wall ratio (vessel wall thickness/outer diameter of the vessel×100) was calculated. The vessel wall thickness and vessel wall ratio in type 1 diabetes mellitus were significantly greater than in normal controls. Type 2 diabetic patients with insulin therapy showed significantly greater vessel wall thickness and vessel wall ratios than controls. In type 2 diabetes mellitus, the vessel wall thickness and vessel wall ratio were greater in patients treated with insulin therapy than in those treated with oral hypoglycemic agents. Type 2 diabetic patients with insulin therapy showed an increased vessel wall thickness and vessel wall ratio compared to patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus. In conclusion, the cochlea in patients with diabetes mellitus shows circulatory disturbance compared to age-matched normal controls.
