抄録	This study investigated what kind of social skills international students staying in Japan learn and use throughout their stay which are significant fur funning relationships with Japanese. Informants were international students who have been staying in Japan for at least two years. Semi-structured interviews were carried out on 12 students from various countries. These interview responses were analyzed by using the KJ method and contenr analysis. The analysis revealed three major categories of specific Japanese skills: politeness, especially toward their proffessors; keeping harmony instead of insisting their opinions all the time; and steps for closeness, which means to take time to be close to others. We also found that they switched behaviors when selecting the appropriate acquired social skill and changed levels of using social skills depending on the context and people with whom they interacted.

抄録	本報は、平成18年10月に「高等学校必修科目未履修問題」をもたらした平成10年版学習指導要領に示された教育理念が、平成20年3月末に告示された新学習指導要領でどのように捉えなおされ、その中に家庭科がどのように位置づけられたのか。さらに、家庭科が学校教育の目的達成のために寄与するためには、どのような課題が存在するのか、という観点から、文部科学省の新学習指導要領関係の資料を分析した。その結果、①新学習指導要領では、平成10年版学習指導要領の教育理念［生きる力］を踏襲して教育課程・内容の改訂が図られていた。その中に、②小・中学校の家庭科は、従前どおり「教科」として位置づけられ、②［生きる力］を構成する「豊かな人間性」「健やかな体」をはぐくむための教科として、家庭科学習指導要領の目標・内容が示されていた。しかし、④中学校家庭科では、保育学習と被服学習の目的を学ぶ内容が欠落しているため、⑤教科として目指すべき他教科では代替できない「家庭生活を営む力の育成」と「人格形成」が達成できないという問題が理論的に明らかになった。その課題を解決するため、本継続研究では、岡山大学附属中学校で取り組まれている保育学習と被服学習の目的を学ぶための授業開発研究を踏襲し、その学習がどのように「人格形成」に結びつくのかを心理測定尺度の適用により検討する評価研究を試みる。

Large-Scale Molecular Dynamics Simulation of CoulombClusters: A Finite-Temperature Analysis

抄録	Thermal behavior of Coulomb clusters in a three dimensional confining potential is investigated by molecular dynamics simulations for system sizes of 1,000 to 20,288 ions. The specific heat of the system of shell-structured 20,000 ions is peaked almost at the same temperature as the system of bcc-structured 20,288 ions with much sharper structure for the latter. The diffusion coefficient and the peak to valley ratio of the two-dimensional pair distribution function on the outermost shell are obtained both as a function of temperature. The rotational movement of each shell in the system of 104 ions is observed.

Immobilization of Photoelectric Dye on the Polyethylene FilmSurface

抄録	PE film was treated with fuming nitric acid at 80℃ for 20 min, resulting in introduction of COOH moieties on the film surface. The COOH’s were reacted with ethylenediamine, whose amino groups were used for linking with (2-[4-(dibutylamino)phenyl]ethenyl)-3-carboxy-methylbenzo-thiazolium, photoelectric dye (NK-5962), which absorbs visible light and converts the photon energy to electric potentials. The dye molecules were immobilized on the PE film surface and they were able to stimulate chick retinal tissues on incidence of visible light. These facts hopefully lead to development of an artificial retinal prosthesis.

Microscopic Surface Change of Polycrystalline Aluminum duringTensile Plastic Deformation

抄録	Roughening on free surface of polycrystalline metal during plastic deformation is closely related to the inhomogeneous deformation in the respective grain at the surface. Uniaxial tensile tests are carried out on annealed pure aluminum sheet specimens with various averaged grain sizes. The roughening is measured by a 3-dimensional stylus instrument to examine the roughness change in both sides of specimen surfaces at each strain. The irregularities on one side are reversed on the backside, when the averaged grain size is as large as the thickness of the specimen. Discussions are made on the relation between the surface shapes of both sides adopting the cross correlation factor. The strains of respective grains are also measured from the grain boundary shape before and after plastic deformation. There are some deviations in the strains of the grains and their standard deviation increases with the applied strain.
