海外の大学の専門支援部署によるセクシュアルマイノリティ支援－アメリカとカナダの大学への調査－

　アメリカとカナダの大学で，セクシュアルマイノリティ学生への専門支援部署を持つ大学を対象に，支援体制や支援状況について調査を行った。22大学から回答が得られ，半数以上の大学が学生と教職員以外（受験生，卒業生，地域の人等）も支援対象としていた。スタッフの資格については，学位や資格名以外に，当事者であることやサポート経験が挙げられていた。全ての大学で「イベントの開催」「関連する資料の貸し出し」を行っており，当事者への個別の専門的支援よりも，イベント開催やボランティア育成など，サポート資源を充実させるものを行っている大学が多かった。これらの結果は，今後の日本の大学におけるセクシュアルマイノリティ支援の方向性として参考になるものであった。

A survey was conducted among universities in the U.S.A. and Canada that have specialized support departments for sexual minority students regarding their support systems and support status. 22 universities responded to the survey. More than half of the universities provided support to non-students and faculty (e.g., prospective students, alumni, community members, etc.). Regarding the qualifications of staff members, in addition to their degrees and names of qualifications, being a sexual minority or having support experience were mentioned. All universities offered "organizing events" and "lending relevant materials". Many of the universities offered more support resources, such as holding events and training volunteers, than individual specialized support for sexual minorities. These results are helpful as a direction for future support for sexual minorities at Japanese universities.
