平成14年度「田んぼの学校・福谷」について(1)(中間報告)

「田んぼの学校」は平成10年度の国土、文部、農水の3省庁合同で提唱された、環境教育の取組のことである。今年度、岡山県農林水産部耕地課が事業主体となり、そのモデル推進事業を岡山市福谷小学校で実施中。企画とその運営には福谷小PTAとボランティア団体から実行委員を構成してあたっている。私はその常任委員を務めているが、PTAと地域各位の多大な支援のもと年間12回もの多彩な開校が企画され現在までに9回実施、延べ551名の参加者を得ている。それぞれの企画は子供達と実行委員の希望で立案されたが、単なるイベントではなく参加者の自主的な活動によって成り立っている。親と子、そして地域の人々が一体となって架空の学校を育て上げており、この事例は今後の学校のあり方を考える上で大変興味深くかつ有益な活動である。

"School of theTANBO" is the education of the environment and agriculture. It was proposed in 1998 by Ministryof Land, Education, Agricultures. Okayama Prefecture does a promotion business in Okayama Fukutani elementary school in this year. A project and that management are done from Fukutani elementary school PTA and the volunteer goup. I serve as that member of a standing committee. The area people cooperated with PTA well, and various opening school of 12 times in a year were planned. It was carried out 9 times until now, and there were 551 participants in total. It consists of participant's independent activities though each project was planned by children's and executive committee's hope. Parents and children and the people of the area are as one, and school in imagination is built up. When it thinks about a method with future school, it is very interesting, and they are useful activities.
