Abstract
After processing and refining globulin and albumin from antiserum of the rabbits treated with chicken egg white albumin and from serum of normal rabbits, experiments have been carried out with the use of the anti-serum obtained by immunizing guinea pigs with these processed products as antigens. The results are as follows. 1) The immunized guinea-pig serum above mentioned has been found to possess a desensitizing action on the guinea pigs already passively sensitized by rabbit anti-serum. 2) On studying the length of the time required for coagulation of blood in guinea pigs reinjected with antigen after the desensitization as mentioned above, it has been found that there is a marked tendency of inhibiting the lengthening of the time of blood coagulation when the animal is desensitized by the anti-serum of guinea pigs treated with immunized rabbit serum globulin.
