Global solutions to lexical and grammatical problems in L2 sentence production

In this paper an attempt is made to identify and classify global solutions to lexical and grammatical problems encountered in sentence production in English as a second language, It starts with a review of the previous research into local, or lexical level, solutions to communication problems and proceeds to describe some global solutions, which exploit semantic and pragmatic meaning relations.
