The outcrops always get wet by spring water. The sediments are composed of well sorted rounded gravels and sands but calcareous shell is not found at all. Intergranular space is occupied by white amorphous cement. Magnesium and silicon rich composition of the cement is obtained by EPMA analysis. There is a conjecture that the magnesium rich cement was precipitated in spite of solution of calcareous shell under saturated state by spring water, because calcium has a higher tendency to ionize than magnesium. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=SuzukiShigeyuki en-aut-sei=Suzuki en-aut-mei=Shigeyuki kn-aut-name=鈴木茂之 kn-aut-sei=鈴木 kn-aut-mei=茂之 aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=AzumaYoichi en-aut-sei=Azuma en-aut-mei=Yoichi kn-aut-name=東洋一 kn-aut-sei=東 kn-aut-mei=洋一 aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=DeyamaYasuyo en-aut-sei=Deyama en-aut-mei=Yasuyo kn-aut-name=出山康代 kn-aut-sei=出山 kn-aut-mei=康代 aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=YukawaHirokazu en-aut-sei=Yukawa en-aut-mei=Hirokazu kn-aut-name=湯川弘一 kn-aut-sei=湯川 kn-aut-mei=弘一 aut-affil-num=4 ORCID= en-aut-name=UsuiMayumi en-aut-sei=Usui en-aut-mei=Mayumi kn-aut-name=臼井まゆみ kn-aut-sei=臼井 kn-aut-mei=まゆみ aut-affil-num=5 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil=Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, Okayama University kn-affil=岡山大学大学院自然科学研究科 affil-num=2 en-affil=平寺町松岡兼定島 4-1-1 ** kn-affil=福井県立大学恐竜学研究所 affil-num=3 en-affil=平寺町松岡兼定島 4-1-1 ** kn-affil=福井県立大学恐竜学研究所 affil-num=4 en-affil=Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum kn-affil=福井県立恐竜博物館 affil-num=5 en-affil=Fujigakuin-Okayama kn-affil=富士学院 en-keyword=Beachrock kn-keyword=Beachrock en-keyword=Akagurisaki kn-keyword=Akagurisaki en-keyword=non-calcareous cement kn-keyword=non-calcareous cement en-keyword=ionization tendency kn-keyword=ionization tendency END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=24 cd-vols= no-issue=1 article-no= start-page=1 end-page=4 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=2017 dt-pub=20171227 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title=Rounded pebble of metamorphosed iron-formations from conglomerate of the Miocene deposits in Yatakayama, Kibi Plateau, Okayama Prefecture kn-title=岡山県吉備高原弥高山地域に分布する中新統礫岩から変成鉄鉱石礫の発見 en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract= The Kibi Plateau was a part of the Eurasian Continent and separated by the event of opening of Japan Sea. Here we report a case we recently encountered, and we review 16 cases reported in Japan. An 82-year-old Japanese woman was admitted to our hospital complaining of abdominal pain and heartburn. An endoscopic examination revealed a Type 2 tumor in the descending limb of the duodenum, and endoscopically obtained specimens revealed a poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma. We performed a curative pancreatoduodenectomy with lymph node resection, and the surgical specimen revealed that the duodenum was the primary site of the mucinous adenocarcinoma. The patient is currently alive > 1 year after the operation without any evidence of recurrence. Of the 16 patients reviewed, all patients had advanced tumors those depth were T3-T4. 9 patients had lymph node metastasis and 4 patients had peritoneal dissemination at the time of surgery. Since mucinous adenocarcinoma of the duodenum is often progressive cancer at a diagnosis, which is tend to have a worse prognosis than other histological types. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=HamanoIkumi en-aut-sei=Hamano en-aut-mei=Ikumi kn-aut-name=浜野郁美 kn-aut-sei=浜野 kn-aut-mei=郁美 aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=MatsumotoYusuke en-aut-sei=Matsumoto en-aut-mei=Yusuke kn-aut-name=松本祐介 kn-aut-sei=松本 kn-aut-mei=祐介 aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=EndoYoshikatsu en-aut-sei=Endo en-aut-mei=Yoshikatsu kn-aut-name=遠藤芳克 kn-aut-sei=遠藤 kn-aut-mei=芳克 aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=WatanabeNaoki en-aut-sei=Watanabe en-aut-mei=Naoki kn-aut-name=渡邊直樹 kn-aut-sei=渡邊 kn-aut-mei=直樹 aut-affil-num=4 ORCID= en-aut-name=KaiKyouhei en-aut-sei=Kai en-aut-mei=Kyouhei kn-aut-name=甲斐恭平 kn-aut-sei=甲斐 kn-aut-mei=恭平 aut-affil-num=5 ORCID= en-aut-name=SatoShizou en-aut-sei=Sato en-aut-mei=Shizou kn-aut-name=佐藤四三 kn-aut-sei=佐藤 kn-aut-mei=四三 aut-affil-num=6 ORCID= en-aut-name=WaniYoji en-aut-sei=Wani en-aut-mei=Yoji kn-aut-name=和仁洋治 kn-aut-sei=和仁 kn-aut-mei=洋治 aut-affil-num=7 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=姫路赤十字病院 外科 affil-num=2 en-affil= kn-affil=姫路赤十字病院 外科 affil-num=3 en-affil= kn-affil=姫路赤十字病院 外科 affil-num=4 en-affil= kn-affil=姫路赤十字病院 外科 affil-num=5 en-affil= kn-affil=姫路赤十字病院 外科 affil-num=6 en-affil= kn-affil=姫路赤十字病院 外科 affil-num=7 en-affil= kn-affil=姫路赤十字病院 病理診断科 en-keyword=原発性十二指腸癌(primary duodenal cancer) kn-keyword=原発性十二指腸癌(primary duodenal cancer) en-keyword=粘液癌(mucinous carcinoma) kn-keyword=粘液癌(mucinous carcinoma) en-keyword=膵頭十二指腸切除(pancreatoduodenectomy) kn-keyword=膵頭十二指腸切除(pancreatoduodenectomy) END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=127 cd-vols= no-issue=3 article-no= start-page=213 end-page=218 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=2015 dt-pub=20151201 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title=A case report of giant ectopic pheochromocytoma conversion therapy with radioisotope therapy and chemotherapy followed by curative resection kn-title=術前内照射および化学療法が著効し,根治切除し得た巨大異所性褐色細胞腫の1例 en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract=A 46-year-old man was found to be positive for occult blood at a medical checkup and was revealed to have a 14-cm tumor on the right side of abdominal aorta by a subsequent abdominal CT scan. The endocrinology laboratory data showed elevations in the levels of serum noradrenaline, and ectopic pheochromocytoma was suspected. The tumor was compressing the inferior vena cava and portal vein, the superior mesenteric artery and the pancreas. Since it would be difficult to cure by operation, neoadjuvant therapy was started using radioisotope therapy by I-131 metaiodobenzylguanidine (131I-MIBG) and chemotherapy (CVD therapy ; cyclophosphamide, vincristine, dacarbazine). He was treated with three courses of radioisotope therapy and 16 courses of chemotherapy, which significantly reduced the tumor size. This made radical resection possible ; we were able to avoid the merger excision of great vessels and other organs. On pathological and immunopathological findings, the tumor was diagnosed as ectopic pheochromocytoma. Regarding the safety and curability of the treatment, neoadjuvant therapy may be useful in treating very large tumors that show invasion of other organs. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=YasuiKazuya en-aut-sei=Yasui en-aut-mei=Kazuya kn-aut-name=安井和也 kn-aut-sei=安井 kn-aut-mei=和也 aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=UmedaYuzo en-aut-sei=Umeda en-aut-mei=Yuzo kn-aut-name=楳田祐三 kn-aut-sei=楳田 kn-aut-mei=祐三 aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=KumanoKenjiro en-aut-sei=Kumano en-aut-mei=Kenjiro kn-aut-name=熊野健二郎 kn-aut-sei=熊野 kn-aut-mei=健二郎 aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=TabataMasahiro en-aut-sei=Tabata en-aut-mei=Masahiro kn-aut-name=田端雅弘 kn-aut-sei=田端 kn-aut-mei=雅弘 aut-affil-num=4 ORCID= en-aut-name=OtsukaFumio en-aut-sei=Otsuka en-aut-mei=Fumio kn-aut-name=大塚文男 kn-aut-sei=大塚 kn-aut-mei=文男 aut-affil-num=5 ORCID= en-aut-name=YagiTakahito en-aut-sei=Yagi en-aut-mei=Takahito kn-aut-name=八木孝仁 kn-aut-sei=八木 kn-aut-mei=孝仁 aut-affil-num=6 ORCID= en-aut-name=FujiwaraToshiyoshi en-aut-sei=Fujiwara en-aut-mei=Toshiyoshi kn-aut-name=藤原俊義 kn-aut-sei=藤原 kn-aut-mei=俊義 aut-affil-num=7 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学大学院医歯薬学総合研究科 affil-num=2 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学大学院医歯薬学総合研究科 affil-num=3 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学大学院医歯薬学総合研究科 affil-num=4 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学大学院医歯薬学総合研究科 affil-num=5 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学大学院医歯薬学総合研究科 affil-num=6 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学大学院医歯薬学総合研究科 affil-num=7 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学大学院医歯薬学総合研究科 en-keyword=異所性褐色細胞腫(ectopic pheochromocytoma) kn-keyword=異所性褐色細胞腫(ectopic pheochromocytoma) en-keyword=化学療法(chemo therapy) kn-keyword=化学療法(chemo therapy) en-keyword=131I-MIBG kn-keyword=131I-MIBG END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=126 cd-vols= no-issue=3 article-no= start-page=209 end-page=215 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=2014 dt-pub=20141201 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title=Hospital and clinic cooperation for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in Okayama Prefecture, Japan kn-title=岡山県下のクリニック・診療所におけるリウマチ診療・病診連携の実態に関する研究 en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract=Objective: To survey the current status and problems of cooperation between clinics and hospitals in Okayama Prefecture, Japan for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods: We distributed a questionnaire to 300 of the 983 Okayama Prefecture clinics that had either an internal medicine or orthopedic surgery department, from December 2013 to February 2014. The questionnaire covered practice pattern for RA treatment in clinics, current status of the hospital and clinic cooperation, and acceptance of the biologic therapy. Results: One hundred clinics responded to the questionnaire. Seventy percent of the clinics reported making referrals to rheumatologists before the initiation of RA treatment, and half of the other 30% of the clinics administered methotrexate as the first-line treatment for RA by their own decision. Sixty-six clinics cooperated with flagship hospitals, conducting medical and laboratory examinations, providing prescriptions, and treating common diseases of patients. These clinics expected the cooperating rheumatologists to follow-up patients every 3 to 6 months and to make the diagnosis, make decisions regarding RA treatment changes, and perform surgery. Seventy-one percent of the clinics responded that cooperation with a hospital is possible even for patients who are administered biologics. As reasons for no cooperation with the flagship hospitals, clinics noted the lack of information about rheumatologists in the area and recent trends in the management of RA. Conclusion: The current study reported, for the first time, the actual conditions of management of RA in clinics, as well as future problems of hospital and clinic cooperation in Okayama Prefecture. Terminals in the Prefrontal Cortex and Hippocampus of Mice en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract=In the phenomenon known as cross-modal plasticity, the loss of one sensory system is followed by improved functioning of other intact sensory systems. MRI and functional MRI studies suggested a role of the prefrontal cortex and the temporal lobe in cross-modal plasticity. We used a mouse model to examine the effects of sensory deprivation achieved by whisker trimming and visual deprivation achieved by dark rearing in neonatal mice on the appearance of parvalbumin (PV) neurons and the formation of glutamic acid decarboxylase 67 (GAD67)-positive puncta around pyramidal neurons in the prefrontal cortex and hippocampus. Whisker trimming, but not dark rearing, decreased the density of PV neurons in the hippocampus at postnatal day 28 (P28). In the prefrontal cortex, whisker trimming and dark rearing decreased the density of PV neurons in layer 5/6 (L5/6) at P28 and in L2/3 at P56, respectively, whereas dark rearing increased the density of PV neurons in L5/6 at P56. Whisker trimming decreased the density of GAD67-positive puncta in CA1 of the hippocampus at both P28 and P56 and in L5/6 of the prefrontal cortex at P28. Dark rearing decreased the density of GAD67-positive puncta in CA1 of the hippocampus and in both L2/3 and L5/6 of the prefrontal cortex at P28, and in L2/3 of the prefrontal cortex at P56. These results demonstrate that somatosensory or visual deprivation causes changes in the PV-interneuronal network in the mouse prefrontal cortex and hippocampus. The results also suggest that the alteration of the PV-interneuronal network, especially in the prefrontal cortex, may contribute to cross-modal plasticity. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=UenoHiroshi en-aut-sei=Ueno en-aut-mei=Hiroshi kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=ShoshiChikafumi en-aut-sei=Shoshi en-aut-mei=Chikafumi kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=SuemitsuShunsuke en-aut-sei=Suemitsu en-aut-mei=Shunsuke kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=UsuiShinichi en-aut-sei=Usui en-aut-mei=Shinichi kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=4 ORCID= en-aut-name=SujiuraHiroko en-aut-sei=Sujiura en-aut-mei=Hiroko kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=5 ORCID= en-aut-name=OkamotoMotoi en-aut-sei=Okamoto en-aut-mei=Motoi kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=6 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Medical Technology, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Okayama University affil-num=2 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Medical Technology, Kawasaki College of Allied Health Professions affil-num=3 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Psychiatry, Kawasaki Medical University affil-num=4 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Medical Technology, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Okayama University affil-num=5 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Medical Technology, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Okayama University affil-num=6 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Medical Technology, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Okayama University en-keyword=sensory deprivation kn-keyword=sensory deprivation en-keyword=parvalbumin kn-keyword=parvalbumin en-keyword=glutamate decarboxylase (GAD67) kn-keyword=glutamate decarboxylase (GAD67) en-keyword=prefrontal cortex kn-keyword=prefrontal cortex en-keyword=hippocampus kn-keyword=hippocampus END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=66 cd-vols= no-issue=2 article-no= start-page=143 end-page=154 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=2012 dt-pub=201204 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title= kn-title=Attenuated Sensory Deprivation-induced Changes of Parvalbumin Neuron Density in the Barrel Cortex of FcγRllB-deficient Mice en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract=Recent studies have demonstrated the important role of immune molecules in the development of neuronal circuitry and synaptic plasticity. We have detected the presence of FcγRllB protein in parvalbumin- containing inhibitory interneurons (PV neurons). In the present study, we examined the appearance of PV neurons in the barrel cortex and the effect of sensory deprivation in FcγRllB-deficient mice (FcγRllB-/-) and wild-type mice. There was no substantial difference in the appearance of PV neurons in the developing barrel cortex between FcγRllB-/- and wild-type mice. Sensory deprivation from immediately after birth (P0) or P7 to P12-P14 induced an increase in PV neurons. In contrast, sensory deprivation from P7 or P14 to P28, but not from P21 to P28, decreased PV neurons in wild-type mice. However, sensory deprivation from P0 or P7 to P12-P14 did not increase PV neurons and sensory deprivation from P7 or P14 to P28 did not decrease or only modestly decreased PV neurons in FcγRllB-/- mice. The results indicate that expression of PV is regulated by sensory experience and the second and third postnatal weeks are a sensitive period for sensory deprivation, and suggest that FcγRllB contributes to sensory experience-regulated expression of PV. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=WatanabeMakiko en-aut-sei=Watanabe en-aut-mei=Makiko kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=UenoHiroshi en-aut-sei=Ueno en-aut-mei=Hiroshi kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=SuemitsuShunsuke en-aut-sei=Suemitsu en-aut-mei=Shunsuke kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=YokobayashiEriko en-aut-sei=Yokobayashi en-aut-mei=Eriko kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=4 ORCID= en-aut-name=MatsumotoYosuke en-aut-sei=Matsumoto en-aut-mei=Yosuke kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=5 ORCID= en-aut-name=UsuiShinichi en-aut-sei=Usui en-aut-mei=Shinichi kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=6 ORCID= en-aut-name=SujiuraHiroko en-aut-sei=Sujiura en-aut-mei=Hiroko kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=7 ORCID= en-aut-name=OkamotoMotoi en-aut-sei=Okamoto en-aut-mei=Motoi kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=8 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Medical Technology, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Okayama University affil-num=2 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Medical Technology, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Okayama University affil-num=3 en-affil= kn-affil=Koyodai Hospital affil-num=4 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Psychiatry, Kawasaki Medical University affil-num=5 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Neuropsychiatry, Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences affil-num=6 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Medical Technology, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Okayama University affil-num=7 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Medical Technology, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Okayama University affil-num=8 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Medical Technology, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Okayama University en-keyword=parvalbumin kn-keyword=parvalbumin en-keyword=fast-spiking interneurons kn-keyword=fast-spiking interneurons en-keyword=FcγRllB kn-keyword=FcγRllB en-keyword=barrel cortex kn-keyword=barrel cortex en-keyword=sensory deprivation kn-keyword=sensory deprivation END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=41 cd-vols= no-issue=3 article-no= start-page=134 end-page=139 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=2008 dt-pub=200802 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title= kn-title=Association of elevated plasma B-type natriuretic peptide levels with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation in patients with nonobstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract=

Objectives: To investigate the relationship between the plasma B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) level and the occurrence of atrial fibrillation (AF) in nonobstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) patients.
Methods: Patients (n=97) were classified into chronic AF (CAF; n=14), paroxysmal AF (PAF; n=18) and normal sinus rhythm (NSR; n=65) groups. The plasma BNP values were analyzed with logarithmic transformation.
Results: The PAF group showed significantly higher plasma BNP levels than the NSR group [mean (range; -1 SD and +1 SD); 248.3 (143.5, 429.5) vs. 78.2 (27.9, 218.8 ng/L), p<0.0001]. The CAF group also showed significantly higher plasma BNP levels than the NSR group [291.1 (161.4, 524.8 ng/L), p<0.0001]. Multivariate analysis with other clinical factors selected association of PAF as one of the factors that increased the plasma BNP level.
Conclusions: The present study indicated that plasma BNP level is clinically useful for identification of nonobstructive HCM patients who have a risk of PAF.

The casts of secondary nodules formed spheres, inside of which there were poor capillaries. Secondary nodules showed many transitions. Pseudo-nodules appeared as egg-like, large capillary networks and included secondary nodules. The capillaries in diffuse lymphoid tissue anastomosed with the PCV. The PCV, which ran deeply into the cortex, anastomosed with the veins of the medulla in the cortico-medullary junction. The capillaries of medulla anastomosed directly with the veins of the medulla. Cholesterol fractions were analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography at the start of experiment, and 2, 6, 18 weeks later. No difference was found in body weight nor total cholesterol among the three groups. LDL cholesterol was significantly lowered in the tempeh group at 2, 6, 18 weeks. LDL cholesterol/HDL cholesterol ratio also decreased at 2 and 18 weeks. In the both Coicis semen- and tempeh-fooded groups, LDL cholesterol and LDL cholesterol/HDL cholesterol ratio were lower than the control group although they were not statistically significant. No difference was found in HDL cholesterol among the three groups. The results suggest that tempeh may have a favorable effect on cholesterol metabolism. kn-abstract=はとむぎ(Coicis semen)をテンペ菌(Rhizopus oligosporus)で発酵したはとむぎテンペ(テンペ)の血清コレステロール代謝に対する作用を検討した。 en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=OkamotoMotoi en-aut-sei=Okamoto en-aut-mei=Motoi kn-aut-name=岡本基 kn-aut-sei=岡本 kn-aut-mei=基 aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=UsuiShinichi en-aut-sei=Usui en-aut-mei=Shinichi kn-aut-name=臼井真一 kn-aut-sei=臼井 kn-aut-mei=真一 aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=OkazakiMitsuyo en-aut-sei=Okazaki en-aut-mei=Mitsuyo kn-aut-name=岡崎三代 kn-aut-sei=岡崎 kn-aut-mei=三代 aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医学部保健学科検査技術科学専攻 affil-num=2 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医学部保健学科検査技術科学専攻 affil-num=3 en-affil= kn-affil=東京医科歯科大学教養部 en-keyword=はとむぎ (Coicis semen) kn-keyword=はとむぎ (Coicis semen) en-keyword=はとむぎテンペ (Rhizopus oligosporus, tempeh) kn-keyword=はとむぎテンペ (Rhizopus oligosporus, tempeh) en-keyword=コレステロール (cholesterol) kn-keyword=コレステロール (cholesterol) en-keyword=ラット (rat) kn-keyword=ラット (rat) END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=121 cd-vols= no-issue=2 article-no= start-page=123 end-page=125 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=2009 dt-pub=20090803 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title= kn-title=田野病院 en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract= en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name= en-aut-sei= en-aut-mei= kn-aut-name=臼井隆 kn-aut-sei=臼井 kn-aut-mei=隆 aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil= END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=104 cd-vols= no-issue=3-4 article-no= start-page=297 end-page=310 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=1992 dt-pub=1992 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title=Clinical and histological studies on steroid-induced avascular necrosis of the femoral head, especially in ststemic lupus erythematosus kn-title=ステロイド性大腿骨頭壊死症の病態に関する研究―全身性エリテマトーデス(SLE)を中心に― en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract=Clinical and radiological studies were performed on avascular necrosis of the femoral head (ANF) in 220 hips 140 patients including 51 hips of 28 patients with systemic lupus erythe-matosus (SLE group). All patients with SLE were treated with corticosteroid adminstration. Thirty-one femoral heads (11 heads of SLE group, 9 heads of S group and 11 heads of Non-S group) were resected at operations nad studied histologically. Seventy-seven hips at an early stage showed that collapse of the femoral heads occurred in 80% without 3 years and no differences were found among these group. In the SLE group, bilateral involvement, multiple bone necrosis and predilection for young females were apparent. Collapse of the femoral head and subcapital fractures were more frequently seen in the SLE group. Histologically, almost all heads even in the SLE group showed repair process such as enchondral ossification and appositional bone formation, while the heads with subcapital fracture showed no such no such changes. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=UsuiMasaaki en-aut-sei=Usui en-aut-mei=Masaaki kn-aut-name=臼井正明 kn-aut-sei=臼井 kn-aut-mei=正明 aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医学部整形外科学教室 en-keyword=大腿骨頭壊死症 kn-keyword=大腿骨頭壊死症 en-keyword=全身性エリテマトーデス(SLE) kn-keyword=全身性エリテマトーデス(SLE) en-keyword=病態 kn-keyword=病態 END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=106 cd-vols= no-issue=3-4 article-no= start-page=211 end-page=221 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=1994 dt-pub=1994 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title=Phagocytic function and production of colony-stimulating factor of peripheral mononuclear cells in the elderly kn-title=高齢者における貪食細胞機能並びに末梢単核球コロニー刺激因子産生能に検討 en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract=Elderly individuals have an increased susceptibility to infections. To evaluate one of the possible causes of increased susceptibility to infections in the elderly, peripheral neutrophil and monocyte counts, neutrophil and monocyte chemiluminescence (ChL), macrophage precursor test and production of colony-stimulating factor (CSF) of peripheral mononuclear cells (PMNCs) were examined. The neutrophil and monocyte counts in the peripheral blood were not different between the elderly (≧70 years old) and the younger (<70years old) groups. In the neutrophil ChL assay, the base lines, peak levels and peak times were not different between the elderly and the younger groups. In the monocyte ChL assay, the peak level in the elderly group was significantly lower than that in the younger group (p<0.05). The values in a macrophage precursor test in the eldely group were signicantly lower than those in the younger group (P<0.05). CSF production of PMNCs in the eldely was significantly lower than that in the younger group(P<0.05). These findings indicated that the impaired intracel-lular bactericidal activity and maturation ability of monocytes and impaired CSF production of PMNCs were possible causes of increased susceptibility to infections in the elderly. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=OsadaKen en-aut-sei=Osada en-aut-mei=Ken kn-aut-name=長田建 kn-aut-sei=長田 kn-aut-mei=建 aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医学部第二内科学教室 en-keyword=the elderly kn-keyword=the elderly en-keyword=mononuclear cells kn-keyword=mononuclear cells en-keyword=chemiluminescence kn-keyword=chemiluminescence en-keyword=macrophage precursor test kn-keyword=macrophage precursor test en-keyword=CSF production kn-keyword=CSF production END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=105 cd-vols= no-issue=7-8 article-no= start-page=673 end-page=680 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=1993 dt-pub=199308 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title=Experimental studies on nicaraven as a radioprotector : Survival ratio of mice, spleen colony formation, blood picture and lipid peroxidation kn-title=ニカラベンの放射線防護剤としての有用性の検討―マウス生存率,脾コロニー,末梢血液像,脂質過酸化について― en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract=The degree of radiation protection from Nicaraven after whole-body irradiation was investigated in C3H mice. Nicaraven is a free radical scavenging agent, which was shown to improve brain edema and blood flow. Nicaraven was injected intraperitoneally in mice before and/or after whole-body irradiation with 640cGy or 740cGy using Toshiba Lineac LMR-4C (4MV, 6.45×10(-2)C/㎏/min). The 30 day survival ratio was improved significantly by Nicaraven (P≦0.02). Endogenous spleen colony formation was investigated after 640cGy. The agent was injected before (pre), after (post) or before and after irradiation (pre-post), and compared with the untreated group (control). Nine days after irradiation, the mean colony formation was 2.00 (pre), 3.09 (post), 4.31 (pre-post) and 1.47 (control). The differences between pre and post (p≦0.01), between pre-post and control (p≦0.01) and between post and control (p≦0.05) were significant. Nicaraven induced recovery of leukocyte and lymphocyte counts after irradiation, but not that of erythrocytes. The effect of the agent on mice liver mitochondrial lipid peroxidation was also investigated. The lag time was not shortened, but reduction of the TBA value was observed. Nicaraven was not only recognized as a radioprotector, but its ability to promote recovery from the damage caused by irradiation was also suggested. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=MoriYasutane en-aut-sei=Mori en-aut-mei=Yasutane kn-aut-name=森泰胤 kn-aut-sei=森 kn-aut-mei=泰胤 aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=TakashimaHitoshi en-aut-sei=Takashima en-aut-mei=Hitoshi kn-aut-name=高島均 kn-aut-sei=高島 kn-aut-mei=均 aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=SeoHiroyuki en-aut-sei=Seo en-aut-mei=Hiroyuki kn-aut-name=瀬尾裕之 kn-aut-sei=瀬尾 kn-aut-mei=裕之 aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=OhkawaMotoomi en-aut-sei=Ohkawa en-aut-mei=Motoomi kn-aut-name=大川元臣 kn-aut-sei=大川 kn-aut-mei=元臣 aut-affil-num=4 ORCID= en-aut-name=TanabeMasatada en-aut-sei=Tanabe en-aut-mei=Masatada kn-aut-name=田邉正忠 kn-aut-sei=田邉 kn-aut-mei=正忠 aut-affil-num=5 ORCID= en-aut-name=YamamotoGoki en-aut-sei=Yamamoto en-aut-mei=Goki kn-aut-name=山本剛禧 kn-aut-sei=山本 kn-aut-mei=剛禧 aut-affil-num=6 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=香川医科大学放射線医学教室 affil-num=2 en-affil= kn-affil=香川医科大学放射線医学教室 affil-num=3 en-affil= kn-affil=香川医科大学放射線医学教室 affil-num=4 en-affil= kn-affil=香川医科大学放射線医学教室 affil-num=5 en-affil= kn-affil=香川医科大学放射線医学教室 affil-num=6 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部診療放射線技術学科 en-keyword=Radioprotector kn-keyword=Radioprotector en-keyword=Nicaraven kn-keyword=Nicaraven en-keyword=Radical scavenger kn-keyword=Radical scavenger en-keyword=Spleen colony kn-keyword=Spleen colony en-keyword=Lipid peroxidation kn-keyword=Lipid peroxidation END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=106 cd-vols= no-issue=7-8 article-no= start-page=751 end-page=756 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=1994 dt-pub=199408 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title=A case report of esophageal cyst kn-title=食道囊腫の1例 en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract=Esophageal cyst is a relatively rare disease and about 91 cases have been reported in Japan. We report a new case of esophageal cyst. Tha patient was a 36-year-old male who complained of nausea and vomiting. We performed esophagography, endoscopy, endoxcopic echography, CT and MRI and found a cystic lesion in the lower esophagus. We made the diagnosis of an esophageal cyst and performed operation. The tumor was in the esophageal muscle but did not have a commissure to the esophageal lumen. We extirpated it with esophageal muscle and repaired the muscle defect with diaphragma. This tumor, 7.5×5.0cm in size, was a monolocular cyst and contained brown muddy material. Microscopic findings revealed a ciliated columnar epithelium and squamous epithelium in the cyst wall but cartilage was not found. The cyst was covered with double smooth muscle layers. It was difficult to differentiate an esophageal cyst from a paraesophageal bronchogenic cyst but these histological findings suggested that this cyst was an esophageal cyst. en-copyright= kn-abstract=最近の漂流民研究は、近世人の自他認識を考える上で貴重な成果を積み上げてきているのだが、他方では、漂流民研究が持つ根本的な問題も自覚されるようになっている。 en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=KurachiKatsunao en-aut-sei=Kurachi
