We used the Framingham risk score to determine the 10-year CHD risk of the subjects, who were employees of 6 companies in a single prefecture in Japan. After excluding the subjects who reported any history of angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, diabetes, or cancer, and those with missing data resulting in the inability of estimation of 10-year CHD risk and food intakes, the final data analysis was carried out for 809 subjects. The logistic regression models revealed a significantly increased odds ratio of 10-year CHD risk in the subjects with the highest tertile of carbohydrate intake (% energy) (odds ratio 3.64, 95% CI, 2.07-6.40);after adjustment for other variables, the odds ratio for the 10-year CHD risk was also higher in the subjects with the highest tertile of carbohydrate intake (odds ratio 1.72, 95% CI, 0.70-4.25). We also found that fat intake and the ratio of n6/n3 fatty acids were inversely associated with the predicted 10-year CHD risk (p for trend<0.01). The present findings added evidence of a positive association of dietary carbohydrate and inverse associations of total fat and n6/n3 fatty acid ratio with the predicted 10-year CHD risk in a general Japanese population. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=MinouraAkira en-aut-sei=Minoura en-aut-mei=Akira kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=WangDa-Hong en-aut-sei=Wang en-aut-mei=Da-Hong kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=SatoYoshie en-aut-sei=Sato en-aut-mei=Yoshie kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=ZouYu en-aut-sei=Zou en-aut-mei=Yu kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=4 ORCID= en-aut-name=SakanoNoriko en-aut-sei=Sakano en-aut-mei=Noriko kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=5 ORCID= en-aut-name=KuboMasayuki en-aut-sei=Kubo en-aut-mei=Masayuki kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=6 ORCID= en-aut-name=TakemotoKei en-aut-sei=Takemoto en-aut-mei=Kei kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=7 ORCID= en-aut-name=MasatomiChie en-aut-sei=Masatomi en-aut-mei=Chie kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=8 ORCID= en-aut-name=OginoKeiki en-aut-sei=Ogino en-aut-mei=Keiki kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=9 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Public Health, Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences affil-num=2 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Public Health, Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences affil-num=3 en-affil= kn-affil=Graduate School of Health Sciences, Okayama University affil-num=4 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Public Health, Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences affil-num=5 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Gerontology Research, Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences affil-num=6 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Public Health, Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences affil-num=7 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Public Health, Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences affil-num=8 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Public Health, Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences affil-num=9 en-affil= kn-affil=Department of Public Health, Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences en-keyword=fat intake kn-keyword=fat intake en-keyword=carbohydrate intake kn-keyword=carbohydrate intake en-keyword=ratio of n6/n3 fatty acids kn-keyword=ratio of n6/n3 fatty acids en-keyword=10-year coronary heart disease risk kn-keyword=10-year coronary heart disease risk en-keyword=Japanese kn-keyword=Japanese END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=7 cd-vols= no-issue=1 article-no= start-page=59 end-page=66 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=1996 dt-pub=19960930 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title=Daily physical activity in patients with chronic glomerulonephritis kn-title=腎炎患者の日常生活活動強度 en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract=We examined the intensity of daily physical activityand cardiorespiratory endurance in 7 patients with chronic glomerulonephritis between 20 and 61 years old. They may have some difficulties in their daily life after hospital discharge. The proper nursing educational plan may determine their post-hospital life without anxiety. The purpose of this study is to find out the effective nursing educational plan for them. Therefore, we investigated the contents of the nursing educational plan for their hospital discharge and what elderly patients need in their post-hospital life. As a result, both contents were similar. Those were about their daily life, disease, health. And there were significantly defferences between well-discussed plan and no discussed plan in the items of economy, hobbies, purpose of life, home environment, family cooperation. Results from this study suggest that more detailed discussion among nurses at hospital discharge is necessary to determine the individual nursing educational plan of elderly patients in their post-hospital life. kn-abstract=近年の急速な高齢化社会にともない複数の疾病や種々の障害をもちながら自宅で療養する高齢者が増加してきている。 en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=IkedaToshiko en-aut-sei=Ikeda en-aut-mei=Toshiko kn-aut-name=池田敏子 kn-aut-sei=池田 kn-aut-mei=敏子 aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=NakanishiYoshiko en-aut-sei=Nakanishi en-aut-mei=Yoshiko kn-aut-name=中西代志子 kn-aut-sei=中西 kn-aut-mei=代志子 aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=KondoMasuko en-aut-sei=Kondo en-aut-mei=Masuko kn-aut-name=近藤益子 kn-aut-sei=近藤 kn-aut-mei=益子 aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=OhtaNiwa en-aut-sei=Ohta en-aut-mei=Niwa kn-aut-name=太田にわ kn-aut-sei=太田 kn-aut-mei=にわ aut-affil-num=4 ORCID= en-aut-name=InoshitaHikari en-aut-sei=Inoshita en-aut-mei=Hikari kn-aut-name=猪下光 kn-aut-sei=猪下 kn-aut-mei=光 aut-affil-num=5 ORCID= en-aut-name=SatoYoshie en-aut-sei=Sato en-aut-mei=Yoshie kn-aut-name=佐藤美恵 kn-aut-sei=佐藤 kn-aut-mei=美恵 aut-affil-num=6 ORCID= en-aut-name=WatanabeKumi en-aut-sei=Watanabe en-aut-mei=Kumi kn-aut-name=渡辺久美 kn-aut-sei=渡辺 kn-aut-mei=久美 aut-affil-num=7 ORCID= en-aut-name=KatoKumiko en-aut-sei=Kato en-aut-mei=Kumiko kn-aut-name=加藤久美子 kn-aut-sei=加藤 kn-aut-mei=久美子 aut-affil-num=8 ORCID= en-aut-name=TakataSetuko en-aut-sei=Takata en-aut-mei=Setuko kn-aut-name=高田節子 kn-aut-sei=高田 kn-aut-mei=節子 aut-affil-num=9 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=2 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=3 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=4 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=5 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=6 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=7 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=8 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=9 en-affil= kn-affil=広島県立保健福祉短期大学 en-keyword=高齢者 (The elderly) kn-keyword=高齢者 (The elderly) en-keyword=退院指導 (discharge) kn-keyword=退院指導 (discharge) en-keyword=自宅療養 (nursing home care) kn-keyword=自宅療養 (nursing home care) en-keyword=nursing educational plan kn-keyword=nursing educational plan END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=7 cd-vols= no-issue=2 article-no= start-page=181 end-page=188 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=1997 dt-pub=19970131 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title=The research on the problems of health care and living of the aged (Pursuing the cases of home treatment given to the elderly patients for one year after their discharge) kn-title=高齢者の健康と生活上の問題に関する研究 ―退院後1年間の在宅療養を追跡して― en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract=We planned to make emerge the problems felt by the elderly patients of 70 years and over given home treatment. As a means of our research, four times a year we sent a questinnaire to the aged who had been discharged. After collecting the answers of the questionnaires, we decided to focus on the 53 elderly patients who answered all four questionnaires, and then tried to make their problems emerge. The contents of the questionnaires were about their health care in a year and how their daily life changed. We can see that the condition of the elderly patients under home treatment and their living problems have changed almost without exceptions six months to a year after their discharge. Especially the number of the problems in their daily life increased remarkably. These results might be considered to be caused by the aggravation of their diseases. In addition, the elderly patients are not as conscious of their own problems as a specialist with a critical mind. Therefore, there is a limit to estimating the change in lifestyle of a discharged patient while they remain hospitalized. We consider it essential to get full discharge-care closely connected with home service for elderly patients. kn-abstract=退院後の生活に目を向けた適切な退院指導がなされることは、高齢患者が安心して在宅療養を送る上で、重要な意味を持つ。 en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=NakanishiYoshiko en-aut-sei=Nakanishi en-aut-mei=Yoshiko kn-aut-name=中西代志子 kn-aut-sei=中西 kn-aut-mei=代志子 aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=KondoMasuko en-aut-sei=Kondo en-aut-mei=Masuko kn-aut-name=近藤益子 kn-aut-sei=近藤 kn-aut-mei=益子 aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=OhtaNiwa en-aut-sei=Ohta en-aut-mei=Niwa kn-aut-name=太田にわ kn-aut-sei=太田 kn-aut-mei=にわ aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=InoshitaHikari en-aut-sei=Inoshita en-aut-mei=Hikari kn-aut-name=猪下光 kn-aut-sei=猪下 kn-aut-mei=光 aut-affil-num=4 ORCID= en-aut-name=IkedaToshiko en-aut-sei=Ikeda en-aut-mei=Toshiko kn-aut-name=池田敏子 kn-aut-sei=池田 kn-aut-mei=敏子 aut-affil-num=5 ORCID= en-aut-name=WatanabeKumi en-aut-sei=Watanabe en-aut-mei=Kumi kn-aut-name=渡辺久美 kn-aut-sei=渡辺 kn-aut-mei=久美 aut-affil-num=6 ORCID= en-aut-name=SatoYoshie en-aut-sei=Sato en-aut-mei=Yoshie kn-aut-name=佐藤美恵 kn-aut-sei=佐藤 kn-aut-mei=美恵 aut-affil-num=7 ORCID= en-aut-name=TakataSetuko en-aut-sei=Takata en-aut-mei=Setuko kn-aut-name=高田節子 kn-aut-sei=高田 kn-aut-mei=節子 aut-affil-num=8 ORCID= en-aut-name=KojimaMisako en-aut-sei=Kojima en-aut-mei=Misako kn-aut-name=小島操子 kn-aut-sei=小島 kn-aut-mei=操子 aut-affil-num=9 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=2 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=3 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=4 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=5 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=6 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=7 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=8 en-affil= kn-affil=広島県立保健福祉短期大学 affil-num=9 en-affil= kn-affil=聖路加看護大学看護学部 en-keyword=高齢者 (the aged) kn-keyword=高齢者 (the aged) en-keyword=在宅療養 (home treatment) kn-keyword=在宅療養 (home treatment) en-keyword=退院指導 (discharge-care) kn-keyword=退院指導 (discharge-care) en-keyword=健康問題 (health) kn-keyword=健康問題 (health) en-keyword=日常生活 (daily-life problems) kn-keyword=日常生活 (daily-life problems) END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=47 cd-vols= no-issue=3 article-no= start-page=181 end-page=191 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=2013 dt-pub=201303 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title= kn-title=Evaluation of urinary hydrogen peroxide as an oxidative stress biomarker in a healthy Japanese population en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract=The usefulness of urinary hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) as an oxidative stress biomarker was evaluated in 766 healthy Japanese. The mean level of urinary concentrations of H2O2 was 5.66 +/- 8.27 mu mol/g creatinine, and was significantly higher in females than in males. Significant correlations of H2O2 were observed with age, aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), total cholesterol (TC), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c), insulin, 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG), and exercise habit in females. In both sexes, H2O2 showed a significant correlation with 8-OHdG. By a multiple logistic regression analysis, urinary H2O2 was positively associated with urinary 8-OHdG and TC and was inversely associated with insulin. By stratification of sex and age, the association of urinary H2O2 with TC was positive in both sexes under 50 years old and was inverse in males over 50 years old, and that with insulin was inverse in males over 50 years old and in females under 50 years old. Moreover, by stratification of sex and age, a positive association of H2O2 with exercise and an inverse association of H2O2 with alcohol consumption became clear in males under 50 years old, although there were no significant odds for H2O2 after adjustment for covariates. In conclusion, the present results suggest that urinary H2O2 is a useful biomarker for oxidative stress, showing an association with 8-OHdG, TC, and insulin independently. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=SatoY. en-aut-sei=Sato en-aut-mei=Y. kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=OginoK. en-aut-sei=Ogino en-aut-mei=K. kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=SakanoN. en-aut-sei=Sakano en-aut-mei=N. kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=WangD. Little is known about circulatory levels in healthy individuals. The present cross-sectional study aimed at elucidating the relationship between these antioxidants and clinical biomarkers in 206 male (median age 41 years, range 23-67) employees from companies located in the Okayama Prefecture, Japan. Subjects younger than 40 years (n = 94) showed a positive association of the frequency of alcohol consumption with the circulating retinol (beta = 0.344, p = 0.001) and gamma-tocopherol levels (beta = 0.219, p = 0.041), and an inverse association of fast insulin with serum retinol (beta = -0.301, p = 0.009). In participants older than 40 years (n = 112) we found that an inverse association of HOMA-R with serum retinol (beta = -0.262, p = 0.021), a-tocopherol (beta = -0.236, p = 0.035), and gamma-tocopherol levels (beta = -0.224, p = 0.052); and cigarette smoking was inversely associated with the levels of serum a-tocopherol (beta = -0.286, p = 0.008) and gamma-tocopherol (beta = -0.229, p = 0.040). We further found negative relationships between serum ferritin and the retinol (beta = -0.211, p = 0.032) and a-tocopherol levels (beta = -0.223, p = 0.022) in men over 40 years of age. The present study suggests that the circulatory levels of antioxidant vitamins may modulate the action of insulin and that higher levels of iron might decrease the levels of antioxidant vitamins in the blood. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=ZouYu en-aut-sei=Zou en-aut-mei=Yu kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=WangDa-Hong en-aut-sei=Wang en-aut-mei=Da-Hong kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=SakanoNoriko en-aut-sei=Sakano en-aut-mei=Noriko kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=SatoYoshie en-aut-sei=Sato en-aut-mei=Yoshie kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=4 ORCID= en-aut-name=IwanagaSuketaka en-aut-sei=Iwanaga en-aut-mei=Suketaka kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=5 ORCID= en-aut-name=TaketaKazuhisa en-aut-sei=Taketa en-aut-mei=Kazuhisa kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=6 ORCID= en-aut-name=KuboMasayuki en-aut-sei=Kubo en-aut-mei=Masayuki kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=7 ORCID= en-aut-name=TakemotoKei en-aut-sei=Takemoto en-aut-mei=Kei kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=8 ORCID= en-aut-name=MasatomiChie en-aut-sei=Masatomi en-aut-mei=Chie kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=9 ORCID= en-aut-name=InoueKiyomi en-aut-sei=Inoue en-aut-mei=Kiyomi kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=10 ORCID= en-aut-name=OginoKeiki en-aut-sei=Ogino en-aut-mei=Keiki kn-aut-name= kn-aut-sei= kn-aut-mei= aut-affil-num=11 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=Okayama Univ, Grad Sch Med Dent & Pharmaceut Sci, Dept Publ Hlth affil-num=2 en-affil= kn-affil=Okayama Univ, Grad Sch Med Dent & Pharmaceut Sci, Dept Publ Hlth affil-num=3 en-affil= kn-affil=Okayama Univ, Grad Sch Med Dent & Pharmaceut Sci, Dept Gerontol Res affil-num=4 en-affil= kn-affil=Okayama Univ, Grad Sch Hlth Sci affil-num=5 en-affil= kn-affil=Kyoto Univ, Fac Med, Dept Publ Hlth affil-num=6 en-affil= kn-affil=Geriatr Hlth Serv Facil affil-num=7 en-affil= kn-affil=Okayama Univ, Grad Sch Med Dent & Pharmaceut Sci, Dept Publ Hlth affil-num=8 en-affil= kn-affil=Okayama Univ, Grad Sch Med Dent & Pharmaceut Sci, Dept Publ Hlth affil-num=9 en-affil= kn-affil=Okayama Univ, Grad Sch Med Dent & Pharmaceut Sci, Dept Publ Hlth affil-num=10 en-affil= kn-affil=Kobe Tokiwa Univ, Fac Hlth Sci, Dept Nursing affil-num=11 en-affil= kn-affil=Okayama Univ, Grad Sch Med Dent & Pharmaceut Sci, Dept Publ Hlth en-keyword=serum retinol kn-keyword=serum retinol en-keyword=serum alpha-tocopherol kn-keyword=serum alpha-tocopherol en-keyword=serum gamma-tocopherol kn-keyword=serum gamma-tocopherol en-keyword=HOMA-R kn-keyword=HOMA-R en-keyword=serum ferritin kn-keyword=serum ferritin en-keyword=smoking kn-keyword=smoking en-keyword=alcohol consumption kn-keyword=alcohol consumption END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=8 cd-vols= no-issue=2 article-no= start-page=137 end-page=146 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=1998 dt-pub=19980131 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title=Pre-operative anxiety and nursing care - Through two students'case studies on surgical patients - kn-title=手術を受ける患者の術前不安の理解と看護援助 ―受け持った手術患者の事例研究を通して学生が学んだこと― en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract=Pre-operative nursing is to care and educate a patient so that he/she can undergo an operation at ease and in safety and recover quickly after surgery. One of the pre-operative nursing is to relieve anxiety. It's very important for pre-operative nursing to assess pre-operative anxiety and do the nursing action according to patient's anxiety level. Nursing student seems to have much understanding of pre-operative anxiety through observing a patient's behavior, talking with a patient, and caring a patient in clinical practice. Two students'case studies on surgical patients are presented in this paper. This paper shows how they promote deeper understanding of pre-operative anxiety and the nursing care is promoted by observing the patient and listening objectively to what the patient says and giving appropriate feedback. kn-abstract=手術前の看護は,患者が安全・安楽に手術を受けることができ,術後の回復過程がスムーズにいくように援助することである. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=HayashiYuko en-aut-sei=Hayashi en-aut-mei=Yuko kn-aut-name=林優子 kn-aut-sei=林 kn-aut-mei=優子 aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=OkazakiMegumi en-aut-sei=Okazaki en-aut-mei=Megumi kn-aut-name=岡崎恵 kn-aut-sei=岡崎 kn-aut-mei=恵 aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=SumiKumiko en-aut-sei=Sumi en-aut-mei=Kumiko kn-aut-name=角公美子 kn-aut-sei=角 kn-aut-mei=公美子 aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=SatoYoshie en-aut-sei=Sato en-aut-mei=Yoshie kn-aut-name=佐藤美恵 kn-aut-sei=佐藤 kn-aut-mei=美恵 aut-affil-num=4 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 affil-num=2 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医学部附属病院 affil-num=3 en-affil= kn-affil=島根県立総合看護学院 affil-num=4 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医療技術短期大学部看護学科 en-keyword=CABGを受ける患者 (Coronary artery bypass grafting patient) kn-keyword=CABGを受ける患者 (Coronary artery bypass grafting patient) en-keyword=右肺下葉切除術を受ける患者 (Robectomy patient) kn-keyword=右肺下葉切除術を受ける患者 (Robectomy patient) en-keyword=術前不安 (Pre-operative anxiety) kn-keyword=術前不安 (Pre-operative anxiety) en-keyword=術前不安への看護援助 (Nursing care) kn-keyword=術前不安への看護援助 (Nursing care) END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=9 cd-vols= no-issue=1 article-no= start-page=23 end-page=31 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=1998 dt-pub=19980930 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title=Present status of home health nursing in a Japanese hospital-based home health care agency kn-title=在宅看護における訪問看護内容の検討 ―病院を基盤とする訪問看護ステーションの事例調査― en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract=We investigated the present status of home health nursing in a Japanese hospital-based home health care agency, to clarify present problems in home health nursing and to assess the roles of home health nurses. Based on our results, ADL of care recipients who lived alone were clearly independent compared with care recipients who lived with family care-givers. The level of ADL of both care recipients who lived with their spouses and those who lived with more than 2 family members were not different. It indicates that aged family care-givers assume great responsibility. In cases of bedridden recipients, daily life care was performed at a high rate, but mental care or teaching care was performed at a low rate. Home health nurses should focus on primary preventive care, mental care for recipients and care-givers, and teaching care or management of a care plan. kn-abstract=病院を基盤とした在宅看護提供機関における在宅看護の現状を調査し,在宅看護の現在の問題点を明らかにするとともに,在宅看護に携わる看護婦の役割について検討した。
