We treated them with adrenocorticosteroid hormone and found that the neuro-psychic symptoms were alleviated in parallel with the improvement of somatic conditions. Case 1, 22-year old female: On the basis of the findings of cerebro-spinal fluid and those of fundus of the eye we judged the case to be of a primary injury on the central nervous system with circulatory disturbances brought about by inflammatory mechanism. Her principal psychic symptoms were anxiety, excitation and amnesia accompanied with clouding of consciousness and change in her personality. Case 2, 28-year old female: This was a typically acute, extrinsic inflammatory type, whose main psychic symptoms were consisted of clouding of consciousness, illusion and hallucination. The report was made about the course taken by these cases, and some considerations were given on available literature. en-copyright= kn-copyright= en-aut-name=YokoyamaShigeo en-aut-sei=Yokoyama en-aut-mei=Shigeo kn-aut-name=横山茂生 kn-aut-sei=横山 kn-aut-mei=茂生 aut-affil-num=1 ORCID= en-aut-name=HosokawaKiyoshi en-aut-sei=Hosokawa en-aut-mei=Kiyoshi kn-aut-name=細川清 kn-aut-sei=細川 kn-aut-mei=清 aut-affil-num=2 ORCID= en-aut-name=MatsudaKiyoshi en-aut-sei=Matsuda en-aut-mei=Kiyoshi kn-aut-name=松田清 kn-aut-sei=松田 kn-aut-mei=清 aut-affil-num=3 ORCID= en-aut-name=MiiTakashi en-aut-sei=Mii en-aut-mei=Takashi kn-aut-name=三井尚 kn-aut-sei=三井 kn-aut-mei=尚 aut-affil-num=4 ORCID= en-aut-name=EdamatsuKazuyasu en-aut-sei=Edamatsu en-aut-mei=Kazuyasu kn-aut-name=枝松一安 kn-aut-sei=枝松 kn-aut-mei=一安 aut-affil-num=5 ORCID= affil-num=1 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医学部神経精神医学教室 affil-num=2 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医学部神経精神医学教室 affil-num=3 en-affil= kn-affil=岡山大学医学部神経精神医学教室 affil-num=4 en-affil= kn-affil=財団法人慈圭会慈圭病院 affil-num=5 en-affil= kn-affil=財団法人慈圭会慈圭病院 END start-ver=1.4 cd-journal=joma no-vol=76 cd-vols= no-issue=1-3 article-no= start-page=41 end-page=46 dt-received= dt-revised= dt-accepted= dt-pub-year=1964 dt-pub=19640330 dt-online= en-article= kn-article= en-subject= kn-subject= en-title=A case report of Epilepsia partialis continua kn-title=持続性部分性てんかんの一症例 en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract=We reported a case of epilepsia partialis continua.
