Measuring erythrocytes sedimentation rate (E.S.R.) at a constant temperature (37°C) in Misasa, Tottori-Prefecture, the author recognized seasonal fluctuations in the average E.S.R. E.S.R. in Misasa has a tendency to increase in winter than in summer, contrary to the former observations in other districts of Japan. And concerning this contradiction the author calls attention to the effect of the climatological
characteristics in Tottori-Prefecture, e.g. relative high humidity in winter in this district, compared with the relative low humidity in the other (southern eastern part of Japan).
