(Fabaceae) from Vietnam en-subtitle= kn-subtitle= en-abstract= kn-abstract=This research aimed to identify the volatile compounds found in the fresh leaves of Acacia crassicarpa Benth. This is the first phytochemical investigation of this species. Essential oils from the leaves of A. crassicarpa were obtained by hydro-distillation and analyzed by gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Sixty-one compounds accounting for 95.8% of the leaf oil were identified. The classes of compounds identified in the oil sample were aldehydes (30.7%), sesquiterpene hydrocarbons (25.2%), alkanes (19.1%), oxygenated monoterpenes (3.6%) oxygenated sesquiterpenes (2.3%), monoterpene hydrocarbons (0.8%) and others (14.2%).
