Abstract 本(平成12)年度の講義「初等理科教育学A(理科授業研究)」では、アメリカの初等理科教科書「Discover the Wonder」に基づき、授業研究の試みを行わせるとともにこの教科書で扱われている People at Work/Ex-ploring Careers を参考にして、課題[科学にかかわる職業・仕事についてのガイダンス]などによって初等教育段階における科学にかかわる職業(仕事)のガイダンスの取り扱いを検討させてきた。本稿は、この実践報告である。様々な特徴や工夫を見出し、教科「理科」や「総合的な学習の時間」における科学にかかわる職業のガイダンスの授業実践などに向けて、指導案を作ることができ、さらに受講結果についての総括的な自己評価や講義全体についての評価からも、ほぼ所定の成果を得たと考えている。
Abstract Alternative This document reports on lesson-activities about a teaching research of the science related careers. The first part deals with a brief review of the american elementary school science textbooks Discover the Wonder. The content of the science related careers was identified, and categorized in the second part. The third part deals with discussions and lesson-plan making. The study findings part concludes with analyses of this lesson-activities.

Title Alternative A Practice Report of the Lecture "Secondary Science Education A" in the First Half of 2002 Academic Year : The Lessons Learned from Science Course Contents in Various Countries

Abstract 本(平成14)年度の「中等理科教育学 A」における「諸外国における科学教育の学習内容に学ぶ」授業実践を、受講生、講義内容、評価の順に、分析・考察してきた。20名の受講生の内、単位を認定できた15名の受講生自身の自己評価、自らを含む講義全体に対する講義評価、教官が行った最終評価、これら3つの評価とも評定でみれば、総てについて、ほぼ良か優に相当し、今回の授業実践はほぼ所定の成果を得たと考えたい。しかし、次年度以降の改善の余地を、遅刻・早退・期日より遅れて提出されたレポートの把握に、また、学生が課題に取り組む時間的な余裕への配慮に、見いだしている。
Abstract Alternative The lecture "Secondary Science Education A" in 2002 academic year was analyzed and considered from the viewpoints of the attribute of students, course contents, and evaluation. Out of 20 applicants, 15 students got a pass in thid lecture. Judging from a self-evaluation and evaluation of this lecture, which was made by the successful 15 students, and the final evaluation made by the instructor, this lecture were regarded as generally satisfactory. However, there were some problems, such as the tardiness, negligent withdrawal from class, and the management of papers failed to meet the deadline. Moreover, much time was required for students to complete the assignment. In these respects, this lecture has room for improvement.

Title Alternative BIODIVERSITY of the "Integrated Science B" Textbooks in the Upper Secondary School.

Abstract 平成15年度から新設された高等学校「理科総合B」教科書における「生物の多様性(遺伝子・種・生態系の多様性)」の扱われ方を、学習指導要領と教科書を手がかりに分析した。実験・観察や課題研究には、様々な内容が取り上げられていたこと、示されている生物は、義務教育段階と同様、種類に未だ偏りがあること、そして、遺伝子・生態系の多様性の扱いに不十分さがあることを明らかにした。したがって、「生物の多様性」の扱われ方の現状は、多様であり、過渡期であるといえる。
Abstract Alternative This Biodiversity is added to the National Curriculum Standard as a basic concept. Biodiversity (diversity within species, between species and of ecosystems) is taken up by the "Integrated Science B" texbooks, which are established in 2003 for high school students. The purpose of this study is to examine how this biodiversity is treated in both National Curriculum Standard and textbooks. Regarding textbooks, various examples of boidiversity are dealt with in experiments, observations, and researches. Living things mentioned here are unbalanced in classification, as in the case with textbook of compulsory education. Diversity within species and of ecosystems are not adequately provided. As a result of these facts, the way biodiversity is treated are various, and still in transition.

Abstract 平成15年度第4四半期「理科授業研究A」受講生を回答者として、「多様な生物」に関する意識と現行の小中学校理科(生活科を含む)教科書に示されている「身近な生物」の身近さの程度とを問うアンケート調査を実施し、回答結果を分析・考察した。小学校教員になろうとする学生として、例えば、教科書で示されている生物の1/3は身近な生物ではなく、1/5は聴いたことさえない生物であること、また、「生物多様性条約」「生物多様性国家戦略」を誰一人として聴いたことがないことからわかるように、環境教育に関わる新しい課題「生物の多様性」に対処していくために必要な知識や関心があるとは言い難かった。教科書で示されている生物に対する検討だけでなく、教員養成に関しても検討が求められるものである。
Abstract Alternative The survey was conducted in the class of "Study of Science Instruction A." This course was offered by one of the authors (Tanaka) in the 4th quarter of 2003 academic year, to the students who were in the pre-service teacher education program for elementary school. Data were gathered from students on their attitudes, interests, characteristics, etc. of different living things, which were picked out from the science textbooks (including the Life Environmental Studies) of elementary/lower secondary school. The results are as follows. One-third of living things mentioned in textbooks were not so familiar to the respondents. The respondents had never heard of one-fifth of living things mentioned in texbooks. The terms "Convention on Biological Diversity" and "National Biodiversity Strategy of Japan" are totally unknown to all respondents. From these facts, it was found that students don't have sufficient knowledge and interest to cope with the Biodiversity, which one of the challenges for environmental education. Much consideration must be paid not only to the living things in the textbooks, but also to the pre-servicee teacher education program.

Abstract 中学校3年生と高等学校理科教諭とを回答者とし、「多様な生物」に関する意識と、現行の小・中学校理科(生活科を含む)教科書に示されている「身近な生物」の身近さの程度とを問うアンケート調査を実施し、回答結果を比較分析してきた。中学3年生より高等学校理科教諭の方が、「多様な生物」に対する関心度が高いこと、自信度が高いこと、「身近な生物」により身近でることを、また、中学3年生と高等学校理科教諭とも、「生物の多様性」に関連した基本方針への関心も基盤となる学問的な知識も十分とは言い難いこと、植物より動物に対して自信度が高いこと、識別されている生物(種)数は現実より非常に多いと考えていることを、明らかにした。
Abstract Alternative Respondents were the 9th graders (about 15-year-olds) and high-school science teachers (32-year-olds or so). For two age groups, surveys were conducted to find the perception of familiar living things. The living things were picked out from the science textbooks (including the Life Environmental Studies). The questions are to what extent respondents are familiar with these living things, and how much perception respondents have of 'diverse living things.' Results of the survey are: High-school science teachers have a greater interest and more confidence in diverse living things than 9th graders. Teachers find 'familiar living things' much familiar and closer to them. Neither 9th graders nor science teachers have a sufficient knowledge and awareness of basic policies related to biodiversity. Both respondents have more confidence in animals than plants, and both of them wrongly estimate that a larger number of life are found and given names.

Abstract 学習指導要領と教科書を手がかりに、アメリカ、オーストリア、日本の前期中等教育段階において、「生物の多様性」がどのように扱われているかを比較検討した。示されている生物については、総数はオーストリアが最も多いものの、種類の偏りは3国とも類似していた。また、想定されている学習の内容・方法は、3国とも「遺伝子・種・生態系の多様性」に関する内容があるものの、扱いに大きな偏りがあった。「生物の多様性」の扱われ方が大きく変化していく可能性を秘めている。
Abstract Alternative The purpose of this study is to examine how biodiversity is treated at the lower secondary education in USA, Austria, and Japan. By comparing the national curriculum standards and some textbooks, we found that: The Austrian textbooks have the largest number of living things. The breakdown of categories and their imbalance are similar among three countries. The diversity within species, between species and of ecosystems are written in textbooks of three countries, but there are great variations in the way that biodiversity is dealt with. There are likely to be major changes in the approach to teaching biodiversity.

Abstract オーストリアの前期中等教育段階(第5~8学年)の教科「生物・環境」において、環境教育に関わる新しい課題となっている「生物の多様性」がどのように扱われているかを、学習指導要領と教科書を手がかりに分析した。「生物の多様性」の概念を規定してはいないものの、生態系を軸とした学習を通して、「生物の多様性」を扱っているといえることがわかった。
Abstract Alternative The purpose of this study is to examine how biodiversity is treated in the "Biologie und Unweltkunde (Biology and Environment)", which is the Austrian school subject at the lower secondary school. By analyzing the national curriculum standard and the textbooks, we found that: school subject does not specife the 'Biodiversity' as a technical term or in the index, but includes general ideas of biodiversity, using other related contents, especially ecology.

Abstract 岡山大学教育学部の理科教育講座に所属する3年生を対象に,理科教材・授業案開発を指向した新しい講義を始めたのでその報告を行う。本講義では,近隣の小,中学校や公民館,科学館等の協力も得て実践の場を確保し,開発した教材や授業案を実践することで生きた教材開発の訓練を行なうことを目指している。教科内容学担当教員と教科教育学担当教員の協働を模索すると同時に,大学教員の教科内容の専門知識や技量を教材や授業案に有効に活用できる講義を意識した。
Abstract Alternative This is a report of the new type of lectures on the development of teaching plans and teaching materials attempted in the science class for 3rd grade students in the Department of Education Okayama Universlty. The students practiced the development of teaching plans and teaching materials, and they conducted their activities not only at university but also at the neighboring schools, the public hall, the science museum etc. We expected the development of further collaboration in the academic staffs in the science education course, and the science abilities will be helpful for the development of teaching plans and teaching materials.
