算数科におけるPISA型読解力を重視した授業モデルの創造

PISA型読解力は良好とは言えない状況にある。PISA型読解力の育成は、算数教育においても喫緊の課題である。算数教育の中でPISA型読解力を育成するには、実現したい姿を具体的にイメージ化することが大切である。算数科でPISA型読解力が身についた姿をイメージ化することで、目標が明確になり、目標を達成する方策も具体的になると考える。それでは、読解力が身についた姿とはどのような姿だろうか。PISA型読解力の構成要素は、「理解」「熟考」「活用」である。「理解」とは、問題から必要な情報を取り出し、根拠を基に図・式・ことば等の数学的表現を用いて自分の考えを見出すことである。「熟考」とは、自分の考えを説明し、他者との話し合いの中で自己の考えを振り返ることである。「活用」とは、獲得した知識、技能、考え方を創造的・発展的に新たな学習や日常生活に生かすることである。以上のように考えて、PISA型読解力を育成する授業モデルを開発した。

In view of an unsatisfactory result of PISA type of reading ability with Japanese pupils, the improvement of that ability is of vital importance. Keeping before us a specific image of achievement with PISA type of reading ability, we can make clear the goal and the means to meet it. What sort of abilities, then, are meant by the development of the reading power? The constituent factors of PISA type of reading ability represent understanding, reflections, and their applications. The ability to understand is to be able to get necessary information out of the problem, and to arrive at our own ideas that are fouded and expressed mathematically by diagrams and charts. The capability of reflection is to explain our ideas, and to reflect on their full implications in communication with others. Application of our ideas would mean the power of utilizing the acquired knowledge, skills, and ways of thinking in furthering the study and in finding its implications in our everyday life. Keeping these in perspective, let us suggest a lesson model that helps to nurture PISA type of reading ability.
