In addition, 10 out of 12 patients in the Stenosis group underwent dynamic susceptibility contrast-perfusion magnetic resonance imaging (DSC-pMRI) before and after revascularization in the dominantly affected side. The absolute asymmetry indexes (AIs) of both cerebral hemispheres in the Normal and Stenosis groups were compared in FAIR-HASTE. In addition, the AIs were compared with those in the Stenosis group before and after revascularization in both FAIR-HASTE and regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF), calculated with DSC-pMRI. A statistically significant difference was recognized between the AIs in the Normal and Stenosis groups (AI = 2.25 +- 1.92, 8.09 +- 4.60, respectively ; p < 0.0001). Furthermore, in the Stenosis group the AIs on both FAIR-HASTE (8.88 +- 4.93, 2.22 +- 1.79, respectively ; p = 0.0003) and rCBF (7.13 +- 3.57, 1.25 +- 1.33, respectively ; p = 0.0003) significantly decreased after revascularization. In the Stenosis group, before revascularization, signal intensity on both FAIR-HASTE and rCBF had a tendency to be lower in the dominantly affected side. FAIR-HASTE imaging was useful in the detection and evaluation of cerebral hypoperfusion in chronic occlusive carotid disease. No potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006Chromosomal and genetic imbalances in synovial sarcoma detected by conventional and microarray comparative genomic hybridizationENYasukoNakagawaNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006Cimetidine inhibits epidermal growth factor-induced cell signalingENTatsuyaFujikawaNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006Clinical Significance of Decreased Serum Concentration of Cartilage Oligomeric Matrix Protein in Systemic Juvenile Idiopathic ArthritisENTomokoUrakamiNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006Diagnosis of deep vein thrombosis after operation for fracture of the proximal femur: comparative study of ultrasonography and venographyENMotonobuTeraoNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006Elevated serum MCP-4 levels in overweight field name="subjects" and its correlation with chronic inflammationENIzumiHashimotoNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006Elevated serum interleukin-18 levels might reflect the high risk of hospitalization in patients on peritoneal dialysisENAiYanoNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006Enhanced antitumor efficacy of telomerase-selective oncolytic adenoviral agent OBP-401 with docetaxel: preclinical evaluation of chemovirotherapyENToshiyaFujiwaraNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006Histone deacetylase inhibitor FR901228 enhances the antitumor effect of telomerase-specific replication-selective adenoviral agent OBP-301 in human lung cancer cellsENTakanoriWatanabeNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006Increased Pulmonary Heme Oxygenase-1 and ƒÂ-Aminolevulinate Synthase Expression in Monocrotaline-Induced Pulmonary HypertensionENTatsuoIwasakiNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006RESUSCITATION OF NONBEATING DONOR HEARTS USING CONTINUOUS MYOCARDIAL PERFUSION: THE IMPORTANCE OF CONTROLLED INITIAL REPERFUSIONENSatoruOsakiNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006Recent Improvement in Lung Cancer Screening: A Comparison of the Results Carried Out in Two Different Time PeriodsENTakujiKitajimaNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006The high integration and differentiation potential of autologous neural stem cell transplantation compared with allogeneic transplantation in adult rat hippocampusENKen-ichiroMuraokaNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.Acta Medica Okayama2006Using assessment of higher brain functions of children with GJB2-associated deafness and cochlear implants as a procedure to evaluate field name="lang"uage developmentENAkihiroKawasakiNo potential conflict of interest relevant to this article was reported.
